Get ready to witness a battle of artistry and creativity at Alibi Truckee on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 1 PM to 7 PM! As part of the North Lake Tahoe SnowFest, this year’s competition is more than just a showcase of talent—it’s a celebration of our local watershed's strength and resilience.
Why Participate?
Your entry fee of $15.00 not only grants you access to the visually stunning ice carving spectacle but comes with a Truckee River Winery stemless glass, Mardi Gras beads, and a promise of revelry! Every ticket helps support the Truckee River Watershed Council, making a tangible impact on our environment as we tackle the threats facing the Truckee River region.
Watch the Transformation
Be dazzled as elite sculptors wield chainsaws and chisels, meticulously transforming 300-pound blocks of ice into breathtaking sculptures all themed around “Truckee Winter.” These masterpieces will be judged for creativity, execution, and how well they embody the theme.
The carving frenzy starts at 1 PM, with judging kicking off around 5:00 PM.

A costume contest with awards for Individual, Couple, and Group categories at 4:30 PM.

Needing more production space and wanting to expand into growing grapes, the Truckee River family decided to purchase an amazing horse property in Cedar Ridge, just a few minutes outside Grass Valley, and turn the 8 stall horse barn into a showcase production facility. In 2022, we harvested and crushed our first grapes on this site, focusing on Sierra Foothill vineyards.
With a vision as bold as our wines, we transformed the essence of this land, where horses once galloped into a vibrant vineyard that breathes life into the spirit of Truckee Family Wines. The unique terroir of the Sierra Foothills lends itself to rich flavors, allowing us to craft bold blends that tell the story of our pursuit for winemaking greatness.
